 Looks and feels temporary

 Review:

This casino was originally just temporary until a new casino could be designed and built.

Now it is becoming permanent with an addition, but still looks and feels very temporary.

High limits at tables for the poor ambiance of this joint. The all new MGM is getting most of the attention in downtown Detroit.

 Nice but needs help

 Review:

I like downtown. We end up at Greektown for food and drink before a sports game most of the time. I would gamble more but, the minimum bet is way too high for my blood.

I only play dice at $5 tables and I could not find one in downtown Detroit, but over the river in Canada, NO problem. Their money is worth more now anyways.

We just went to Greektown Casino before a Wings game and ended up gambling a little. We found ourselves playing Texas Hold'em with a buy-in at $50 to $100. That sucked.

Then we found out there were tables at $3-$6 blinds to whatever. There was something of a kill button if you win 2 hands in a row the blinds go up $12-$??higher and you’re automatically in at $12 on the next hand. This sucked as well.

The dealers were OK. There was one guy who was way too big to be a dealer because he had trouble collecting the chips right in front of him.

The poker room was dirty and the cards & chips sticky. I'd rather drive north or fly to Vages or KC or Shreveport, LA, or go over the river to Canada before I play in Detroit again.
