 Kind of Disappointing

 Review:

I live in the Detroit area so I make it downtown every so often. The new MGM casino is nice with some nice restaurants, but here are my problems with it.

Triple-play video poker is almost non existant. The video poker games have pretty bad odds which seems to be a trend everywhere these days.

On a weeknight we couldnt find 2 empty seats at a blackjack table. Not sure if that was because they are so crowded or because they dont have enough tables.

There is pretty much nobody selling drinks to video poker or slot players. You have to go to the bar to get your own drink. The TVs at the bars do not get the Detroit sports cable channel so you cant watch Tigers, Pistons or Red Wings at the casino.

Sorry to sound so negative but these are all very real issues

 Video poker

 Review:

Stay away from this casino if you like to play video poker. Their pay tables are terrible. It's a nice looking casino. But, I doubt I will ever go there gain.

 MGM DETROIT

 Review:

We've got 4 casinos near downtown & we just recently got the bug to go gamble some rather than waiting to go on our yearly trips to Vegas & Tunica. We've had some luck too. The .25 VP I play is:
BP 7/5
DB 9/7
DDB 8/5
Not exactly FULL PAY but works for me playing only 2 hours usually.
The buffet's not terrible, but no comparison to Windsor's or my favorite :Orleans.
The best thing we found--went in Dec & got a CALENDAR for 07 with a COUPON PER MONTH promos. $10 free play, free buffet, etc. Best move we made..it'll keep us coming back.
