OptimumVideo Poker
Software by Dan Paymar

For Macintosh and Windows

Optimum Video Poker (OpVP) is the only video poker analysis and trainer program being marketed directly by its principal developer (who is also a regular player), so you know that it's designed to be easy to use and to provide the features needed by all players -- beginners, recreational and professional.
Although the game can be played just for fun, there are no unnecessary frills. (If you want music, turn on your stereo. If you want the sound of coins dropping, rattle some pennies in a coffee can.) Instead, OpVP is designed to be highly functional, providing the tools you need to improve your skills and protect your bankroll. Many of these tools are not currently available on any other such program.

What makes Optimum Video Poker special?
  • Fastest game analysis available
  • Widest variety of bankroll calculations
  • Easy hand analysis and penalty card examination
  • Easy to enter a hand or to change just one card
  • Keyboard shortcuts for almost all functions
  • Runs native on either Macintosh or Windows
  • Large, clean card images for easy play

And much more. See below for details.

    System requirements:

Minimum on either platform:
10 MB of free hard drive space
12 MB of RAM space
800x600, 256-color display
Times New Roman, Courier and Helvetica fonts installed

(Some things may look strange if these fonts are missing.)

Macintosh: Any Macintosh Power PC
OS 8.5.1 or later, including any version of OS X
It will also run native on Intel-based Macs

Windows: Any Pentium I or later (or equivalent)
Windows 95b, 98, NT, 2000, XP or Vista
On some versions of Windows, some things will look strange unless you have Courier and Helvetica fonts installed. It is necessary to hide the tool bar at the bottom of the screen on any Windows system with only 800x600 display. (OpVP will run on Windows ME, and all functions and calculations are accurate, but there are known display problems that are not covered by warranty.)

General features:

  • Large, clean card images for easy play
  • Play much as on a casino machine
  • Play with only the mouse, only the keyboard, or both
  • Balloon help for most features

Game analysis:

  • This new algorithm, developed by mathematician/programmer Yuri Sorkin, will do a complete game analysis in less than ten seconds on most of the current generation of personal computers

Keno game analyzer:
