Foxwoods Resort Casino Plans to Add New Luxury Shopping Mall
Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, has unveiled its plans to build a new high-end retail center, The Premier Outlet Shoppes at Foxwoods. The announcement also marks the casino's 20th anniversary.
The 320,000-square-foot shopping center will feature 85 luxury stores as well as a retractable roof so shoppers can shop outdoors if the weather allows.
Construction is set to begin this spring.
“Our 20th anniversary celebration gives us a chance to reflect upon the many significant accomplishments of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and Foxwoods Resort Casino over the past two decades as well as celebrate a new beginning,” said Foxwoods CEO Scott Butera. “The many initiatives we are announcing today signify our relentless desire to improve and achieve excellence by providing extraordinary experiences to all of those who visit Foxwoods.”
The new shopping center will connect the Grand Pequot Hotel and the MGM Grand Hotel.
