The fourth and final Ohio casino, the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati, opened to the public yesterday with a celebration that included loud music and big fireworks. The $400 million casino has been under construction for the past two years and workers, as well as the public, were eager to celebrate the grand opening.
Visitors waited as long as two hours in the cold and rain to be the first ones to see the new casino. While many were excited, some casino guests were annoyed with the long wait, the uncooperative weather and limited parking.
The new casino features a World Series of Poker room, VIP players’ lounge, restaurants including a Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, and an outdoor plaza for concerts and more.
The other Ohio Horseshoe casino, the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland, opened last year.
