New Maine Casino Seeking Skilled Gaming Workers

Skilled casino workers looking for a job may want to consider a move to the state of Maine.
The Oxford Casino in Oxford, Maine announced today that it is actively recruiting experienced casino workers, and needs to fill several hundred openings. The casino is now under construction, and will be the first full casino in northern New England. According to company officials, the casino is offering competitive industry pay and benefit packages.
“This is a brand-new market; the Oxford Casino is just a short drive from Portland, Maine's largest city,” said Jack Sours, the newly appointed Vice President and General Manager. “We have a variety of positions available, including a significant need for experienced table games dealers. This is a great opportunity for people who moved away from Maine seeking employment, to return to their native state.”
Job seekers can visit the company’s website, www.OxfordCasino.com. The Oxford Casino expects to open for business in the summer of 2012.
Maine voters approved the construction of a casino in Oxford County in November 2010, after a statewide referendum process. The Oxford casino will be a premier entertainment destination located on Route 26 in Oxford, featuring state-of-the art slot machines, blackjack, craps, roulette, dining and entertainment.
