Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City Starts Construction of Margaritaville Makeover

Resorts Casino Hotel has started construction on its new LandShark Bar and Grill. The restaurant is part of the Atlantic City casino's Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville-themed makeover.

The Margaritaville theme will replace the casino's current Roaring ’20s look, which was put into place just last year.

“We are thrilled to get the Margaritaville project underway,” said Gary Van Hettinga, president and C.E.O. of Resorts Casino Hotel. “Seeing the first signs of work occurring on the beach in front of Resorts is an exciting first step. The LandShark Bar and Grill will be the first of its kind in Atlantic City and this landmark moment will be one of many in an aggressive construction schedule.”

The LandShark Bar and Grill will be the centerpiece of the LandShark complex, a $35.5 million project which will feature shopping and restaurants and will replace the amusement pier that burned down in 1988.

The project is expected to be completed in Spring 2013.
