My husband and I went to Harrington Casino and everyone was awesome. There were NO "rude" employees there. They have a really nice atmosphere, great buffet, and a really nice lounge for VIP's - The Black Diamond Lounge. Everything is handicap accessible as well. It is a smaller casino but big on customer service. They have entertainment, i.e. bands and shows all the time.
We will be going back for sure. :))

Without a doubt the rudest casino I have ever been to. I went up to a floor manager with a very legitimate concern about handicap access, he looked and me and said what 'dya want me to do, I'm getting off in ten minutes and walked away. We went to a customer service person she listened said " I can't believe he said that"!!! I'm so sorry....... and that was it. Never going back ..would not recommend to anyone!!!!!!

Harrington, or Midway as it was known when it started, is a small but friendly casino with just about anything you want. The food is, although not what it once was,good. The slots are usually friendly, and they have the best selection of table games in Del. I can remember what this place was the day it opened, and I can tell you that it has come a long way, just as Dover has. If you're looking for a night of fun and your in the area, Harrington is the better casino in Del.

I have been to AC, Las Vegas as well as many local casinos. This isn't the biggest nor the nicest. However, it is close and on the way to the beach. Of the three casinos in DE, it is the best one for table games. It seems like we never do well at the slots. Dover seems to have a higher payout. Delaware Park is terrible. I am not sure what the payout percentage is for their slot machines.
They used to have a 6 or 8 deck shoe but most of their games are now on the constant shuffle machines. I think it gives the house slightly higher odds. They report the high roller room has 6 or 8 deck shoes.
The buffet is the best one out of the three casinos in DE. The food can be very good or mediocre depending on the day or when the fresh food comes out. Usually it has been fine for us.
The dealers for the most part are very nice and will try to help novices at Blackjack and Craps. There are a lot of newbies at the $2 Blackjack tables and they often do questionable things, but I don't know if if makes much of a difference with the constant shuffle machines.
If you go regularly, they have gotten better at comps to keep you coming back.

Not worth the drive we made. The management and customer service in this casino is terrible.

Feb, 2111 After playing in AC for the past few years, I found a gem At the Harrington poker room in Delaware. The people were civil, fun and around my age 40 to 60. The food at the bar next door was great and reasonably priced. if you are driving for the first time get specific directions as the exact entrance is still a mystery to me. Joe G

Harrington is just a good place. The people gambling there seem to be friendly and kind and the dealers are good; not just at their games, but in their personality. Notice I am not talking extraordinary here, it is not that kind of place - which is part of the reason I like it so much. If you are looking for a good friendly place to have some fun gambling I think Harrington is the place for you. The tables games are usually not crowded and there are almost always low minimum bet games open. They just went to 10x craps odds on a $10 pass line and have just started a $25 min. blackjack table that deals from a shoe, once someone sits down to play the table is closed to newcomers until the shoe is shuffled. These are some really nice rules for those who can afford it. If you can't, like me, than you can still have a lot of fun. The Video Poker pay tables are low, but there always seem to be more than enough open - maybe its because of the pay tables. The player's club is nice with monthly specials and free buffets. It seems to be hard to get rated high, but the comps still come. The food is really good and it is an all you can eat buffet. I haven't tried the fancy Bonz, but heard it is good. Oh yeah, they also have a decent sportsbook with comfy chairs and cubicles.
Overall Harrington Casino has good dealers, good people, good games, (poor video poker), good food, and is a good place to have a great time!

My wife and I traveled up to Harrington's on Sunday, the 27th of June 2010 from Virginia. We thought the casino was middle of the road.

Harrington's just got table games. I personally was not impressed with them. There was a wide range of games, including craps, roulette, mini baccarat (progressive), fortune pai gow (progressive), three card poker (progressive), four card poker (progressive), casino war (progressive), ultimate Texas hold'em (progressive), bonus let it ride (progressive), perfect pair blackjack, in bet blackjack, blackjack switch, royal match 21, big six wheel, and blackjack.

Personally, I was frustrated that there were not more "regular" blackjack tables. Blackjack should be the focal point table game in my opinion.

I understand that some of the dealers lacked experience, so I did give a little break for this. I thought that they handled their own.

I thought the limits were fine as they were $5.00 min bet in the morning and early afternoon, and then were increased as the day went along. The roulette was good because they have the chip stackers installed where the dealer just slides the losing bets into a hole and the machine sorts and stacks them, saving time.

There are plenty of slots, but only a few "Game King" machines (these are the ones that have the various video poker games). There was machine dealt blackjack (virtual dealer) and mechanical roulette. The payout was good as I won at whatever I played, although I didn't play any machine for more than 30 minutes at a time.

The Poker Room is okay. With it being new, you could tell that the casino is working out kinks. There were 4-8 games going on the Sunday afternoon. They have a bad beat jackpot for Texas Hold'em, 50% to loser, 25% to winner, and 25% to rest of table. The players were raw in my opinion, but that always changes. I played $1/$2 no limit hold'em and I made $100 playing very selective hands over a 2 1/2 hour period. For the $1/$2 no limit game, the max buy in is $200.

The casino has a few different restaurants. The buffet must be good because the line was always long (30+ min wait). We didn't want to wait and we were not very hungry, so we ate at the sports book restaurant, which was priced well and tasted good. A cheeseburger and fries were only $7.00.

The sports book area looked nice as well. I can tell that when sports betting gets going, the place will be hopping. They have horse betting, but once football season starts, the people will be there ready to bet.

Customer service was okay. The drink girls in the casino and poker room were out and about, and the service at the sports book restaurant was great, but the line for the players club was very long. I assume that it is because the place is very busy now that they have table games, but if this is the reason then there should be better planning for more service.

There is no hotel with the casino/racetrack. There are 3 in Harrington, so nothing to report there.

I think that the casino is in nice physical condition with nice accents.

The players club is like many others. I got $10.00 in free slot play for signing up. You do not earn any points for playing poker, so that is a major drawback.

Overall, I say that the casino is in the middle. People that expect an all world, Vegas style casino that gives anything and everything to a patron will be disappointed. But if you expect a typical casino, with a place to play and a chance to earn a few rewards, then this is the place.

I frequent AC mostly, me and a friend took the trip down there because delaware just opened table games. With respect on that note, I understand that the dealers are new and inexperienced. But to be inexperienced and RUDE to the customers is disapointing.

The cards were slow out of the shoe but more than that the particular dealer(s) me and my buddy had didn't look like they were happy we were playing and one fellow who was dealing actually told me "gimme a break, I'm new" and "That If I didn't like how he dealt I could take my complaint somewhere else!". I found these remarks rude.

Maybe an "I'm new, I apologize the game is moving slowly", or even make a humorous comment to break the ice in return. Not something sarcastic and disregarding. Anyway, food was ok, I wasn't up anymore than $50 the whole night. At least if I lose try and put a smile on my face people! I won't be making the trip down there anymore, I feel more appreciated at the Taj.

Wow this place is very small but nice (first coment when walking in). As stated, maybe? 1,000 slots literally. Can walk from one end to the other of the casino in 5 minutes.

It's very modern and clean; the food is okay. I guess the Random Number Generator played in my favor: the 25 dollar pulls were very good to me. One customer (who almost knocked me over) won a hundred grand on one of them.

The quarter slots and 50 cent slots were okay. Just enough for me to get the gonads to high roll. Seems it's in your favor to play their high roller section but like anywhere else it's what the Random Number Generator wants to do.

Bear in mind it's a local place so if you play the high roller section you're at risk. Most people seem to play the penny slots and nickel slots. I'd go back just to try to get enough money to head up towards Philly.

Currently they do have a nice perk going, they offer $200 back if you lose and win nothing so that's nice, but if you win $200 or more you're obviously not going to get anything.
