No motorhomes allowed

Management has now made a decision that no motor homes are allowed on the property. When asked where I should park, they said they didn't care as long as it was not on their property. So, I just saved my money fro my 10 day trip to Las Vegas in Feb. I imagine their attitude will change when real casinos are allowed in Florida, something the state is considering.

Nice place

Stayed here last year for a buddy's bachelor party weekend and was really impressed. For one all Hard Rock properties are fantastic if you are into rock memorabilia like I am.
The rooms continued with the rock motif and the bathrooms were especially cool. I really enjoyed my stay. The pool area was nice although I didn't spend more than a few hours there all weekend.
We had nice gaming there but mostly enjoyed ourselves walking around the entertainment complex. There are many bars and restaurants with enough variety to suit most young people. Murphy's Law was a highlight.
All in all I really enjoyed my stay here although it wasn't cheap. But I would come back for sure.

Never won here

I've visited this casino at least ten times and I have yet to win anything. I've tried playing all types of slots and haven't had a bit of luck . In addition, I've never seen anyone hit anything of any size. Several times, I just wandered around to see if anyone was doing well but never did see a hit that required any payout. Only good thing is I can park my motorhome in the parking lot and wait for my wife's 6 AM flight home! Very convenient to airport.

Great Place!

I visited while in Florida on business. The casino anchors a huge entertainment complex with 20 or more restaurants, nightclubs, live theater and concert venue. I thought it was clean and staff was friendly. I ate at two restaurants inside the casino and the food was outstanding (and comped). I only play blackjack and found the rules pretty standard. Dealer hits soft 17, double anything, double after split (except aces), can resplit anything but aces. Table limits start at $10. The $10 tables use continuous shuffle machines, $15 and up use an 8 deck shoe. Be aware that the outdoor blackjack tables only pay 6/5 on blackjacks and you cannot get rated and earn comps outside. I found them to be pretty good with food comps and I didn't ask for anything more. I never play machines so have nothing to offer in that area, but I didn't hear much cheering coming out from the machine areas. I was there on a Tuesday and Wednesday and found the crowds very manageable but was told that weekends are packed and a little crazy. I've played all over the country and this is now my favorite place.

nice casino

I live very close by and visit often. Being a players club member, I have accumulatsd enough points to get 50 dollars in free play a week. If you are using free play, cash out every time you win. Even if its 2 cents. U must keep your free poT amount in the machine. But if I put 20 dollars in free play in the. 1 cent machines. Ill have about 20 tickets. Some worth 3 cents and some for 5 10 dollars. Add those tickets up and cash out. The video games that offer bonus spins is where u can rake in money. I also like the hot shot progressives. Especially near the stAte. I've won from $200 to hitting a jackpot of 3 grand. The tables are decent depending on the day. I've won 10 straight hands sometimes and also have the days where the dealer pulls 21 3 out of 4 hands. You can definitely get trapped among the thousands of machines there. The hotel is outstanding as well as the pool and beach club. The restaurants are good, but overpriced. I tend to have more "luck" on mon-thursday. Late morning early afternoon.

the worst ever

This by far has to be the worst casino I have ever visited. I have been in the Tampa area for over 6 months. I spend an average of 1000.00 per week in a casino. I had been playingt in the high limit area and had stopped for a while because I was losing so much so quickly. I was just watching other people play to see if the machines were turning around. I was informed by a casino represenative that i could not watch other people play. Little did they know I had several thousand on me and was just about to beginb to play again when this happened. WAKE UP TAMPA call your local councilman and push for slots at the paramutel facilities. This is the only way you are ever gonna have a chance at all to win anything. They did this in Lauderdale county and it has made gambling fun again.

Beautiful but don't expect big winnings

This is the casino I frequent the most. It's beautiful and as close to a Vegas like casino hotel as you will get . Has many onsite restaurants, bars and a few stores. The restaurants aren't stellar and they are expensive which I think is a mistake. Paying almost $20 for 2 slices of pizza and 2 sodas is crazy at a casino. They don't offer free alcoholic drinks while you gamble but do offer free water and coffee (not sure about sodas and juices).

The payouts on the slots aren't great. In fact if you go and find yourself winning then LEAVE! I have rarely left with a decent profit. Usually winnings are in the $100-$200 range which, if you're a gambler, you know that's nothing. If you're a slot player and want a nice hotel with a beautiful pool and located pretty close to the beach then come here. If you don't care about aesthetics and are just interested in winning big then go spend your money at Miccosukee - They pay out much more. There I've seen people win thousands. Biggest payout I've seen at Hard Rock is around $3k and that's rare.

Huge Complex

We were in Florida for a business trip. I was unaware that Florida had land based casinos. We stopped by the Hard Rock in Hollywood. My wife and I are frequent visitors of Las Vegas. I am also a 3 reel 25 cent slot player. I could not find a single slot machine that met that criteria. All I saw were 1 & 2 cent slots. I played some of these and lost every cent I had brought with me.

I never saw anyone else winning either. If this is an example of Florida Indian casinos, I will never go to one ever again. The place was very beautiful, but that was deceiving.

place to be

My wife and I stayed 4 nights and 5 days. We were always having a good time. Most all the employees helped out if they could or got someone that could. It did take a lot of time at times but someone always did show up to help. We will try to go there as often as we can. Thanks for trying to show us all a lot of fun.

Nice Property

The slots did not pay out good at all and I think they should comp drinks as long as you are playing. It just isn't right when other major casions comp drinks and here we paid $ 9 & $ 10 for a screwdriver and a strawberry daiquiri. Outrageous. I feel that the money we had to spend on drinks would have been put into the slots anyway so they would have got the money one way or another but it would just be a nice gesture to give complimentary drinks.

Good Poker Room

I play here on a regular basis... mainly Texas Hold'em. Played for 4 hours, and ended up $45 down on the last hand I played... so sad.

Lots of tournaments and bonus programs. 8 deck shoe game with blackjack, but high minimum bet limits. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Gambling has improved

The casino installed Claas III Vegas-Style slots many months ago and the gaming machines are better because they are no longer based on bingo.

For $1 video poker players the casino offers 9/6 Jacks and 8/5 bonus poker. At the quarter level there are 8/5 (and 7/5) Jacks.

On June 22, 2008 they added blackjack and other card-based table games, such as baccarat, pai gow poker, three card poker and let it ride.

The blackjack rules are basically the same as in Atlantic City: dealer stands on soft 17, split pairs up to three times and double down on any two cards. The casino?s advantage against a player using perfect basic strategy was .44% with an eight-deck shoe and .42% with a six-deck shoe.

Beautiful Property - Class II Gambling

The Hard Rock Casino can compete with most major Las Vegas casinos as far as being a first-class facility.

Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of Class II gambling, so I don't play any of the slots or video poker games in there because they are all based on bingo.

The Tribe is in negotiations to bring in Class III gambling which would allow them to have real video poker and slots.

When that happens, hopefully they will offer some competitive paytables on their VP games.

It would also be nice if they comped your drinks when you played, but I don't think that will ever happen as they really don't need to do it.

Terrible Payback

This has to be one of the worst places to play. They won't report paybacks so we can only imagine how low it is. My guess is 50%.

Nice resort - mediocre gaming

Amenities comparable to low-end casinos of Las Vegas and Atlantic City but not close to those cities' high end properties or the Indian casinos of Connecticut.

Nonetheless, a definite "do not miss" for any gambler who finds himself in southern Florida.

Would greatly benefit from addition of table games and healthier payouts on the simulated slots.
