First off, this casino has changed ownership and is no longer a Terrible's casino. It is just Lakeside Casino.

I can only speak to the improvements made in the casino since the days of Terrible's. First it is cleaner now than I have ever seen it. new table games, new slots, new cards, new chips, polished and shined. The dealers even seemed nicer. I have played there 3 times since the change and the comps are very good. Even got cash back on table game play. The casino floor is crowded and they need to realize that more $5 tables are in order. There are very few table games and I can see the day when it becomes a slot casino only. But right now it is doing well with the upswing of new ownership.

Okay, but that's about it.

Lets see...where to begin? The whirl-pool bath had mildew around the jets and only put out about 10% of the bubbles it should have. The TV was mounted to the wall where it couldn't be seen from anywhere but the bed. No watching TV from the fireplace area, couch, or whirl-pool bath. Twelve channels to choose from, some of them blurry. No brouchures about the casino, no casino menu, just a Gideon Bible and a small phone book. I don't know about any of the other suites, but ours was actually the furthest walk, from the game floor, than any other room in the hotel. Breakfast isn't served until 7:30am and if you get hungry inbetween the bar closing and breakfast being served at the restaurant, you are out of luck! There are no snack machines or anywhere to grab a bite to eat. Ice and a Coke Machine is all you get. I'm not going to bother with this place as they really do live up to their name, "Terribles" I couldn't have put it better myself.

Wow, not bad for Iowa. Won some, lost some. Motel was a little run down. Parking lot was holey. Someone tried to break into my truck. Alarm went off. Security responded by "oh heard that, but didn't think much of it." Overall was pretty good though. Played for about 8 hours on two hundred dollars. Slots were older but had some newer ones.

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. Meals are very reasonable. Rooms are GREAT! Wet bar in every room. Nice and spacious. Very clean. Trays of doughnuts every morning and cookies all day. Didn't win alot, but great place to stay.
