I am inclinded to agree with the people who find not winning much at LeBurge du Lac. My husband won $1200.00 once and I
won $700. We do put alot in the slots, as we are not table players. We find that one has to play the higher cost games to even
begin to win. Because of this, we do get complimentary rooms most of the times when we go. The food is great..never a bad
meal yet.
One thing we would like to see is that there be a slot room for none smokers. Secondary smoke makes it really bad for those
who don't smoke and or have or had heart problems. It is isn't any different than the room they recently made, closed in for
special players. I really think they are enough people who would agree with me and because the casino does so well, I hardly
think people would stop going there.
I would really like to see more people win, also. A lot of people may find this the only entertainment they have where they can relax
and spend some good social time with others and may be limited to what slots they can play in order to not get a gambling problem.
It should be a place where are levels of people can have a good time and let many people win. "You gotta loosen those
machines just a little more, guys" and let the people win." There is a saying among GOOD business men: "One has to spend
money to MAKE money: AM I not right?
Hope our next trip will be another good one, but better than the last one.
No longer worth your time
This use to be a really fun place. All they do is take your money. Don't waste your time. I know why LC wants a new casino!
Once My Favorite - now, Second Choice
Used to LOVE this place - then the payouts got smaller, and smaller, then almost disappeared. Great place to stay and relax in a beautiful facility, but sure liked it a lot more when I won once in a while.
BAD SERVICE
Beautiful resort property that will require a social security card in order to redeem legally purchased chips, no matter how small the amount. They will not tell you that when you purchase them, but when you go to cash out a social security number will be required or the casino cage will refuse to cash any chips.
They are also sending out 1099's to players and will not allow you to dispute the amount that they say that you won. Beautiful resort with excellent food but do not play here unless you want to get a hard time or dont want to get paid at all. I had to file a Patron Dispute Form with the Louisiana State Police Department even though the casino had my drivers license and Visa card number on file. Ridiculous behavior considering there are many ways to get casino chips cashed without the casino knowing about it, but these people are uncompromising and unreasonable. Play at your own risk here!
Not Quite Great
I've heard that this rivals the Beau Rivage as the best casino resort in the Gulf area.
It is a pretty property (a "Texas Hill Country" theme) although you'll run out of things to do if you're there more than a day.
The restaurants are nice, but my friend did get sick at one of the less expensive ones (not the buffet), probably from crayfish. Also, there was a small roach in our hotel room which is surprising for almost $150 a night.
True, it's a hot climate and overall the hotel seemed quite clean. I can't comment on the casino games as I'm not that experienced, but portions of the casino floor were a little too smoky.
The best aspect was the people -- all of them were very, very nice. I would like to try the Beau Rivage next, but if they open Sugarcane Bay, I'd probably like to check out the Lake Charles area again.

First time visit. It was great not too far away from home and it was really nice the room was nice and clean. Everyone at the Casino was very friendly.
