A Little Isolated, but fun

I have stayed at the Stratosphere before and would not hesitate to stay there again -- even though it is a bit isolated from other properties. Not a big issue however, as one can take the "Deuce" bus up and down the strip, as well as to Fremont Street.

The Strat has one of my favorite Sportsbooks, as well as decent food. I am not a big slot player, but I have won money on both visits.

Also got a kick out of the topless rock 'n roll vampire show "Bite." The girls and acrobatics were hot and the whole thing so ridiculous it was actually entertaining in a funny way.

I have also found the overall level of service throughout the Strat a bit better than many of the fancier and more famous properties. Everyone smiles and seem eager to help make your stay more enjoyable.

Another advantage of staying there is riding up to the top and enjoying the 360 view of Vegas.

Also has a lot of nice offers and promotions making for an affordable stay.

All Hat, No Cattle

We were not impressed. The show was absolutely stupid, the food was mediocre, and the room was about like a Motel 6. The casino was so boring and I played poker in the poker room and it was practically depressing. The people who played there were nothing but a bunch of drunks and morons.

I remember when the Strat first opened, it was a pretty nice place. No more.

Top Of the World Restaurant is a Must See

I recommend visiting The Stratosphere for a few reasons. The #1 reason is the Top of The World Restaurant. It has an amazing view of the strip and the room rotates! Everything comes a la carte, so it can be expensive. Go for lunch and it won't be quite so bad. But the view is well worth it.

The rides on the top of Stratosphere are pretty awesome too. I believe I've ridden every ride up there, including the coaster which I believe is gone now. It's been a few years since I've been to Stratosphere, but I think I'll be going back there on my next trip.

Stratosphere Hotel & Casino

We have never stayed at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino but have played and shopped there. They are currently owned by the same company that owns the Arizona Charlie's casinos so use the same player's card. We walked up the Stratosphere one time to see the shops. There is a restaurant on top and a scary ride.

Stratosphere

Bright, wide open, fun place to play. Food is basic, but well prepared and presented. An excelllent value. The all day food pass is an even better value. Washing machines (complimentary) make packing easy for a week stay and saves checked baggage fees. Cocktail service is very attentive and friendly. $5. shoe blackjack with traditional rules. No chiseling here. Can't wait to go back.

Stratosphere Hotel and Casino

I stayed at Stratosphere Hotel for 4 nights during Super Bowl weekend. The rooms had been updated since I last stayed there a year prior and were not fancy but clean. Matress on bed was very nice, much improved from last stay.

Amber, my host, was very helpful. The biggest complaint I have is that they removed all of their 100% pay video poker games in the $.50 and $1 category. They no longer have any progressive video poker either.

It seems they keep putting in more and more penny slots and removing everything else. Stay away from the buffet. It is one of the worst in Vegas.
