nice rooms and casino

I have stayed at the Tuscany at least twice over the last 5 years. I like their large rooms and kitchenettes. They have a good players club. They also have a good cafe. Steak and egg special very good and reasonable. In addition they have some fine food restaurants and mexican cafe. I played about 4 or so hours 8/5 video poker and about 10 minutes of slots. They have newer slots and some older ones. I like their nickel slots, old style. They used to have some 9/6 job, but MIA since 3 years ago. Through a second party, my brother I was actually advised to play here by the WOZ 3 years ago. Good luck to all of you. Hope you enjoy.

A different Vegas Casino/Hotel

I have stayed at the Tuscany 3 times in the past 4 years. It's nice to stay off the strip every now and then, and I usually make the Tuscany my place to go. Yes, it is off the strip, but it is still close to the strip, about a 10-15 minute stroll. It's no more than 10 minutes to the back entrance of Bally's by their sports and race book.

The 'hotel' is actually 15 or 16 smaller, 3-story buildings spread out over the property. If you rent a car, you can find parking right outside your door, which is a definite plus. The rooms are large and come with a couch, chair, a dining table and a small kitchenette (no dishes) with a microwave and small fridge. The beds are a bit firm for my liking, but it's not the worst hotel room bed I have ever had. The rooms could use some updating and having an elevator at both ends of the hallway, rather than just one would be nice.

The staff are not too bad. Some are quite pleasant and others not so much. You get you questions and whatever answered, it's just the attitude of the staff member.

The casino itself is small, usually with lots of locals. The machines are not too bad, your regular 'run-of-the-mill for how casinos go. Video Poker was decent (8/5) and the poker room has some rocks and some fish. Mostly 3/6 Limit, but our table all agreed and made it into a 2-10 Spread Limit which was a lot of fun. As I said earlier, lots of locals, so if you can act the part of a drunken tourist, play a solid game, you'll do well...

I like the 24 hour restaurant they have too. Very reasonable prices and large portions... They have a steak and eggs special after midnight I think it is for $2 or $3, but you need to ask for it as it is not on the menu.
I also like the closeness of Ellis Island, which has great food, and decent paying machines and the AM/PM I think it is next door for munchies and beer.

The one thing that I really do not like about the Tuscany, is that taxis do not frequent this property very much. I have had to wait up to 30 minutes for a cab to arrive. It would have been quicker to walk to Bally/s or Bill's then get a cab from there.

Room was big

It's an all-suite hotel, so the rooms are fairly big. However, they are also fairly average. The rooms are spread out in different buildings thoughout a courtyard, but you can usually find a parking spot not too far way from the room.

8/5 Bonus poker was the best bideo poker game offered. Food in the coffe shop was good.

Tuscany competes

Off the strip but close enough. Clean and attactive casino, restaurants and rooms plus gorgeous pool surroundings.

The restaurants are not just reasonably priced but give lots of well prepared food for the price. For example: 2-8 oz pork chops with 2 sides for $9.99 or a large slice of tender liver with lots of grilled onions and 2 sides for only $8.99.

The casino is bright and airy and always populated with clean friendly people. This is one of those hidden delights that competes quite nicely with the more plush (more expensive) strip joints.

I've never stayed in the hotel but have played the slots several times here. The casino is small in comparison to others but we have had as much, if not more, luck here
