There is really nothing nice I can say about our trip to Mount Airy, except we will not make that mistake twice! The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in a casino. the staff seemed to be annoyed with the patrons. The table games were okay but, again there was a feeling that we should just hurry up and leave! Don't waste your time with the players club. Even a player like myself who goes to the casino a lot will not find the reward program incentive are not enough to merit a return trip.

I had been going to Mt. Airy a few times a month, since they opened. However, Management has done everything possible to make me feel that they do not value my patronage. They have cut back on their slot play rewards, earned rewards, the food has gotten worse and the slots couldn't get any tighter. It's no longer a fun place to go. It really stinks!

I live an hour from this casino. I still prefer to go to Atlantic City. There are only 2 reasons to come here. The Friday night seafood buffet which is a great deal. And during the week, they sometimes have $5 blackjack which is extremely rare in the East. The video poker has poor pay tables. The slots are slots. The players club is only worth the effort if you plan on gambling A LOT. And once you're done gambling, there is nothing nearby.

My wife and I have made 3 trips to this casino in the past 2 years, and all 3 times we have left with far more cash than we came in with. We both play only slot machines, and never seem to have a problem winning money from them, especially the Price is Right slots. We are from N.J., so it's not a long drive, and so far we have always had a good time!

I live close to Mount Airy and have been to the casino several times. Each time I lose pitifully on the slots. I keep reading the payouts are worse than when they first opened; that seems impossible to me. The slots at this casino always stunk. A waste of time and money.

My husband and I have been coming to Mt. Airy since they've opened. In the beginning, we always pretty much broke out even or won a lilttle something, never anything significant. In the last two months we've been there about 10 times and every single time LOST! I know its normal to lose sometimes, but not hitting at least one number or 3 bars is unreal! Our favorite is the video roulette and video poker. Because of the lousy payouts anyone that goes here, beware.. you will only be making a deposit into THEIR accounts with nothing to gain for yourself except an empty pocket. These machines are tighter then a nuns a**!!!! We will not be going back for a long time. We live only 15 minutes away so it's convenienent, but from now on, we'll be hitting up the Sands. The payouts and the comps are so much greater. As far as table games go, don't play. Customer service is at best a minimum. The security guards are constantly walking around in circles making the players instead of safe, feel like prisoners. Mount Airy's comps are really for the birds. Unless you're a high roller, expect to earn a lousy 0.07 per hour of play time. Ridiculous! The atmosphere used to be okay but now it's entirely way too smoky. Once it took me 3 times to wash the clothes I wore to the casino just to get rid of the smell and I use Tide. There is a non-smoking floor upstairs, but unfortunately they don't have the games my husband and I play. Never stayed at the hotel, had no reason to, but heard the rooms are very nice but there are no amenities. The restaurants are okay. we've had better and we've had worse. The girls that offer drinks are hit and miss. Some days you may get a good waitress other days you won't even see one.. If you're looking to throw your hard earned money away, then Mt. Airy Casino is the place for you. But if you're looking to have a great time and win at least a little something, hit up a different casino.. no matter how far the drive!

We have been going to Mount Airy for some time and yes the machines have been tightened. Don't get me wrong it is fine to lose every once in a while but I am not going there to deposit. Unless management at Mount Airy changes their strategy I guess I am going to pass them.

For the past several years, I have frequently visited this casino and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, this has changed dramatically. For the past couple of months, I have seen this casino take a nose dive. In its poor customer service, players club promotions, and now the buffet, which used to be their main draw, has been scaled back considerably and have given you much less quality for your money. The biggest turnoff though are the arrogant patrons they allow on the floor. Another observation were the slot machine themselves, The majority of them were extremely tight and paid out anemic bonus rounds, if any. All in all, it was a horrendous time for both my wife and me. Mt Airy management ought to wake the hell up and make this place what it once was. A great place to visit and have fun.

Okay, so i arrive at this beautiful place with my family and that's pretty much it; looks. The casino is a joke, the restaurants aren't that great and the worst part of it all was the "customer service." I"m usually a nice person and it takes a lot to get me aggravated but the customer service was just bad. My sons were under 21 and when you are under 21, they give you a wrist band which basically says that you are under 21 and aren't allowed in the casino. So when we went down for dinner with my family all the kids had to get a wristband which was such a hassle and you had to be escorted to the restaurant. I thought it was nice until the "bad" customer service kicked in. The workers were all very rude and just not friendly at all.(Well most of them, or at least all the workers that had to escort my family when I stayed there) And when you are done with dinner you must be escorted out back into your rooms and eventually i felt like I was in prison more than I was on vacation. Also, if you are under 21 there's no pool, arcade room, or anything for the kids so don't bother bringing them because they'll stay in the room. Overall, it was just an awful experience and I'm never coming back here again. I guess next time I try something new, I should check the reviews before going.

Well, what can I say? This had to be one of the worst casinos I have ever been to, when it comes to customer service, slot payouts, etc. Before I drove from Philadelphia, I called Customer Service to verify my comp balances. Not only did I not have my slot play on my card as promised, I had to go not once, but twice to players club desk to have it added to my card. Normally, it is already on the card when it is inserted in the machine. But at this backward casino, I was told by one of the dark suits that work there I had to download it from the kiosk. That of course did not work, where everything came up $0.00 dollars. I wasted a great deal of time getting my free players comp downloaded to my card. This process was a tremendous inconvenience. Then when I finally had access to my players comp, the machines were lifeless. Not one bonus round or payout was received. I ended up hopping from machine to machine, all with the same result. I ended up spending nearly $300 of my own money with absolutely nothing in return. The bonuses that did come up paid out an anemic amount. They were pathetic. Also, I noticed the comp dollars earned was only $0.07 per hour. That is the lowest I have ever seen anywhere.

Our home casino is the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs but from time to time we like to take a ride somewhere different. Every time we go to Mount Airy it's the same thing....the slots don't pay, if anything at all and your chances for a bonus are worse there than any other Casino we've been to. Sure the dixie cup of beer is free, how classy, but try to get a drink girl when you need one. You will have better luck finding Jimmy Hoffa's remains than a drink girl. The Valet sucks too, you have to wait a while because let's face it 2 guys just don't cut it getting cars. They lost my keys once and when I asked for free play while they were finding them the response was "We don't do that sir." How rude, you lose my keys and when I ask for free play, not like I asked for 50 bucks god forbid, you deny me. Nice! At least I got a sir out of them....lol. The food isn't too bad though, but just make sure you get there when the food is fresh. The joint reminds me of a AC Casino, but maybe that was the look they were going for....wink wink. The best was one time I was playing 2 slots and a security guard came over and said "You can only play one machine at a time." WTF Paul Blart I only see 4 people within plain sight of me. Not like a line is forming. Here's a comparison of Mt. Airy slots that I play there, and every other casino in Pa....

Zeuss respin at Mt. Airy I average about 30 to 40 dollars (.40 cent bet mind you) before I get a bonus

Everywhere else I average about 10 to 15 dollars before I get a bonus and the bonus usually pays good. Got the bonus twice at Mt. Airy and made less than 5 bucks each time..If you're on your way to Mt. Airy...just keep going till you hit the Sands or Mohegan Sun.

Wow, and I thought Mohegan Sun was bad. Seems that Mount Airy is getting just as bad. Took a day trip with $400.00 in my pocket and usually when I come to Mt. Airy that's more than enough for a fun day. Not this time! The slot were just terrible. Next to impossible to hit a bonus on any of the slots I played. Most I won was 50.00 then the machine sucked it all back so fast it made my head spin. This seems to be the standard at PA casinos anymore. I guess they figure with the state getting 53% of the revenues why bother paying out to the customers when it all goes to the state anyway. Average payout on PA casinos at the moment is somewhere around 91% so they say. Don't buy it. When you can put sixty dollars into a machine and not win more than 3.00 on a spin something is seriously wrong. And don't even get me started on the comps. Ridiculous. Stay home, save your money and play in atlantic city where at least you have half a chance of winning something.

The location is excellent, which is why I go, but I have lost every time I go. I would swear they are rigged. The Blackjack and roulette is a joke. I love the machines they have, BUT I always lose, I mean ALWAYS!!! It's a crime. I want to feel like it's fair but I can't believe they aren't rigged.

The casino is nice and the food is good too, but the waitresses are horrible from my experience anyway. The men waiters were ok though, a little nicer. The females need some lessons on how to treat paying patrons, especially when we spend a lot of money.

The people that work there need to understand human skills and how to be friendly. I go to many casinos and this is the worst. The looks of it is fine but the "people skills" are lacking big time. I go there a few times a month. I was NEVER greeted with a "hello". God forbid they call me by name. Vegas knows the rules of "life" and how to treat people much better.

Anyway, I really like the location, but the rest blows. They have a great opportunity to be great but they need the better payouts and nicer people! I look forward to meeting the people they hire when they get actual tables there. I hope the people they hire are from elsewhere or learn how to be friendly and genuine.

If you like feeding the slots with no chance at winning then Mount Airy is the place for you.
I don't know how they get away with it. I have been there at least 40 times and the best I did was - 200

Also, I feel like im in prison with a guard walking by every few minutes. lol You never hear a "hello" from the staff.

I live only 12 miles away from mount airy. It is a nice casino overall. The rooms are very nice. I happen to be a gold card member approaching onyx status.

One thing that is a complete turnoff and I really don't understand why this is not brought up in their so-called board meetings, is having to pay (if you are a basic member) or having to sign (if you have a platinum, gold or onyx card) for a WARM 6 OZ. BOTTLE OF MOUNT AIRY LABEL WATER. This is such a turn-off to have to sign a slip of paper every time you ask for water.

Here I'm down $2,000 for the night, trying to see if I can hit for a couple hundred so I can go home, and I have to stop and sign this slip of paper for the water, after I have already showed them my gold card. We are not talking Figi water here folks.

The ones who just have the basic card, have to pay 1 $ for a WARM 6 oz. (not even 8 oz.) bottle of faucet water. Oh they do offer water in a plastic cup for free, but who knows how long It's been sitting on the counter just like their burnt coffee sitting in the pots. BRING YOUR OWN WATER FOLKS.

The rooms are great, but they don't have the YES channel so if u want to watch the yankee games you must go to the bar.

Smoking is allowed in half the casino, it should be banned in the entire casino. Valet parking is free which is great. The video blackjack and roulette games are nice, the food is excellent in the steakhouse and italian restaurant. Overall it is very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Mount Airy needs some new slot machines. I think since they opened last year, they changed only about 20 machines and added about 10. I could be wrong, but if you go to Mohegan Sun in Wilkes Barre, they always have different machines.

If the casino is going to offer gifts, have them. The promotion said 4:00 -10:00. We were there at 6 and there was no more blankets. I will never make a special trip for a promotion again. The casino wasn't even as crowded as other promotional days.

Only Vegas is Vegas. Don't expect a Vegas experience and remember unlike AC, you can't simply walk from casino to casino if you are not hitting. Mt. Airy is a stand alone hotel in a scenic Pocono setting. Food is decent and fairly priced - especially the buffet.

Video poker payout tables are lousy. My wife plays only slots and says Mohegan Sun at Pocono pays better. Staff is stiff, not nasty, but they seem not to understand that they are in a "people business". They should be trained by Vegas managers in being pro-active with customers and act like they actually care about whether a guest returns.

Place is immaculate with a great smoking policy. Limited live entertainment. Access, parking, etc. are excellent. Machines are widely spaced allowing you to stretch out while playing. Piped in music is way too loud especially in light of what is clearly an older demographic.

No free alcohol policy is a mistake. They fear drunk drivers leaving the casino and lawsuits coming back to the resort. Lame. Well behaved guests helps the overall pleasant atmosphere. Electronic Blackjack games until recently had (mostly) $15 minimums - a mistake again as Mohegan Sun at Pocono has a room with plenty of $5 Electronic Blackjack games. Overall, a pleasant if unexceptional experience.

I have visited Mt. Airy several times since the casino opened. The food is average and passable for when you require sustenance. The gaming atmosphere is ok to comfortable.

I don't like how they have the video blackjack in the separate room. The casino just seems too small at times. Customer service has never been very good and no free drinks is a definite mistake.

The hotel is nice if you need a place to stay. Since the Sands Bethworks has opened its doors in Bethlehem, Pa, I will no longer be gaming at Mt Airy. The place in Bethlehem is great.

The layout is perfect, the bars/lounges are done right, the entertainment is always good, the gaming is better, the food is better, they give patrons drink service with a smile, and the overall customer service has been very good so far IMO.

I can't wait until they finish that place with the shopping and hotel. Mt Airy is built like it was meant to be just another thing you can do when visiting the Poconos. It will not be a regular destination of mine.

The lights went out 10 minutes into visiting this casino. The machines went down twice in the first 1/2 hour.

The $1 jacks or better video machine was fun. I doubled my money on it. I did not stay long. Overall, I had a good time.

Just returned from a comp overnight. The room is magnificent, better than I ever expected. The rundown is this: I don't play Slots, so cannot rate it. I play video poker which I think is excellent, however, you must research the machines to find the best payback. The only full pay Jacks/Better are the $1. denomination. They do have a few 9/5 J/B, but you must search. I play some table games in AC but they do not have Let It Ride. The electronic blackjack games start at $15., so I cannot rate it. The three restaurants I tried, Buffet, Betty's Diner and Red are excellent. What annoys me is that I must pay for all drinks which I think is disgraceful. I don't purchase anything from the hostesses. If I want a drink, I visit the bar. I agree with pagambler about the drinks; terrible.

Very hard to "hit" anything! We have gone many many times and never won anything. Much closer than AC and love the thrill, just not fun when you cant hit anything at all. Stayed over and enjoyed the room. In AC your drinks are free here.....3.50 for a glass of beer. No freebies here!!!! No wonder they have just as many MAC (ATM) machines as they do slots.......lol

slots are decent-- seem to do good every other trip-- gets crowded on weekends but during the week it is pretty quiet.

Definitely get a player's card-- they tend to give a lot more back than the other casinos I have cards for! Have been to the diner and steakhouse to eat-- both very good.

staff always seems pleasant, but the cocktail waitresses i could do without. you have to pay for alcohol which they neglect to mention to you until they are standing there waiting for you to pay them. last time i order a glass of wine (and it came in a plastic cup which was pretty trashy!)

I never lost so much money so fast. The video blackjack machines had to be rigged or something.

I will not be going back to this ripoff anytime soon. Save your money, put it in the bank, or go to another casino as you are sure to lose it here.

The first 8 months this casino was very good, probably on my top 6 list. The last 4 months the payouts have been terrible.

I wish it was like it used to be. I will not go back until i see a change for the better.

The Hotel and customer service is excellent, however the slots are a bummer.

Stayed for the weekend the end of Septempber 08. Very little return back from the slots. In fact, the worst I've done at any casino.
