I took the cruise a couple weeks ago on new years day. For those of you who complain about the lack of time you should take the sun cruise the last sunday of the month it's an extended cruise so it lasts about 5 hours for gambling. Also the poker room was a poker room who cares if the tables look like they're from goodwill? there was lots of action and lots of loose players. if you're a decent player you'll make money playing 2-5 or 5-10. There were a decent amount of regulars, but none were exceptional players. As far as slots go, who cares? only an idiot plays slots! i will say i did notice the blackjack tables were tight and the house was usually dominating. The food was bad, but who cares when it's free? beggars can't be choosers. If you want great food, pretty lights and nice tables go to vegas. If you want to play poker against someone other than your boys then check this game out it's not bad.

So I went the other night and I strictly advise if you are remotely liable to get sea sick....avoid this Aquasino cruise. Trust me when I say...I spent the entire night sipping water, popping dramamine and witnessing several old people vomit. I gambled for a total of 30 minutes and lost 40 bucks....yeah...that was great. A family member had been many times and said it was awesome, but the waves were so horrendous basically everyone on the boat was vomiting....I saw nothing awesome about that. I would avoid this aspect of Myrtle Beach. I didn't eat the food...I wasn't hungry in the slightest.

First of all the web site needs to be changed because it’s a joke and very different from the actual truth. The boat was very filthy. It hasn’t been cleaned in forever, the windows, floors, walls, were just filthy. The restrooms were nasty and smelled bad The so called buffet was a joke as well it was like going through a school cafeteria the food was bad, there were flies everywhere. The drinking cups were plastic as well as the plastic forks, spoons, knives, foam plates and bowls. The poker tables looked like they came from a Goodwill store. The cloth is faded out and torn up. The chairs were like sitting on a hard log, the lighting was bad you could hardly see anything. The safety boats were so old they would probably sink if you had to use them. They also charge you too much money. The whole experience was just horrible. My advice is get the boat totally remodeled and cleaned up if you want people to be able to enjoy themselves because I wouldn’t tell any one I knew to visit.

I had a great time! Food was delicious....staff wa

We had a fun gambling trip on SunCruz this past weekend. They announced they had given away over $100,000 in slot jackpots and poker tournament winners. The food was very good and the staff was better than any las vegas Casino I have ever been in. The ship was very large and refreshing...I expected it to be small and cramped.

We took the cruise on 8/30/11. They advertised last year as having a new boat. The boat is not new at all, just a reject boat from FL. Boat was VERY dirty. Bathrooms disgusting. Buffet was pathetic. Old, outdated machines. Outdoor space was dirty and no entertainment except for a radio. On the plus side, the staff was pleasant. We should have went on the Big M casino boat that was docked nearby. We took that cruise last year and it was wonderful. I work in the hospitality field in the MB area and I would NEVER recommend this boat!!!!!!

Unbelievable how tight this boat is..and...don't dare waste your money on the craps table....We took our business across the street to Big M. I thought maybe just really bad luck until we met with a party of others who lost thousands on this boat and we won it back on the big M! The staff was very friendly....that is the only thing positive I have to say!

Did you get on the boat to eat or Gamble?!

Is this casino comparable to Vegas? No but I didnt fly to Vegas, pay airfare, pay lavish hotel bills, pay taxi fares. Wake up people!! This gambling boat offers a wide variety of gaming tables, slots and great atmosphere upstairs for your cruise back to shore! The staff was friendly, drinks were as often as I needed or even wanted and free (while your are gambling). So they are weak in the food department, who cares? I boarded the ship to gamble .... with several buddies and have a good time! We did just that, we drank, had a good time gambling with each other and whether we lost or won matters not! That is why it is called gambling! If the slots are too tight... pick another avenue of gambling but quit your complaining... I really feel like you people complaining are spoiled brats and probably have many other things making you unhappy people. Go to gamble and you will not be disappointed!

Look if you want to eat fine food go to a fine dining establishment! I bet the gambling is terrible there! I went with several buds to do some gambling and that is exactly what we did. The buffet food was not that great but I didn't go to eat. I saw plenty of tables and many choices to try your luck. The air conditioning in the blackjack room was just fine and that's pretty darn good considering I'm always hot. The staff were kind and courteous, the drinks were as quick as I've seen in any casino and I've been to numerous casinos. The upper deck was filled with people and they were all drinking laughing and taking in the atmosphere. I went to gamble and would do it again when they stay out longer. I saw many people with different coupons and promotions for playing at the tables... I need to figure out where they got the coupons... Other than that I would recommend this boat to anyone that is looking to gamble.

I'm sitting on the boat deck right now enjoying the live guitar and cool sea breeze. This is by no means a 5 star casino. I wasn't expecting it to be. I'm not in Vegas or even Atlantic City.  I'm on a 5 hour boat ride off the coast of SC.  Considering I paid 13 bucks to ride a ferris wheel for 10 minutes yesterday, the $20 charge to board Aquasino seems reasonable even if there were no games or drinks and the boat just went out to sea and came back.

There was an annoying part at the beginning. They would not honor my friend's Suncruz card she got in Florida. She should have gotten on the cruise for free but the old Suncruz was bought out, they said her card's no good anymore, and she had to pay.

Aside from that, the entire staff is very respectful and polite.

The poker room has AC quality dealers, as do the table games.  The poker blinds are high (there are only 2-5 no limit tables), but the table game minimums are low ($5 roulette).  Right now it's the weekend before memorial day, 80 degree weather, and the boat is nicely filled (more good looking girls than I expected), but not at all crowded.  I had an almost empty roulette table, which was nice. If you like a crowd, the second roulette wheel had quite a few people.  Nice crowd at the craps tables and lots of hooting and cheering from the blackjack table.

In the poker room, I only saw 2 people waiting for a poker table for maybe 10 minutes.  There were I think 5 tables going.  My table was full almost the entire 2 hours I played, which gave me the chance to double up.

There is also a bad beat pot on Aces over Jacks; today it was at $12,000.  Certain days of the week they have Aces cracked payoffs, Kings, and even $50 for pocket Queens beat.  And in addition to cash games they have an occasional tournament.

The free drinks came often, even for my friend at the slots. Fast service at slots is rare at any casino.

The buffet was cafeteria food, but I would have spent 80 bucks on dinner tonight if I wasn't on this boat, instead of the 10 I paid for the buffet.  They're keeping me well fed for the 5 hours they have me.  I think that's the only point of the buffet. Nothing fancy. But they do have a live guitarist with talented fingers and a good voice.

Anyway, if you like to gamble, and if you don't expect something for free, this cruise is a lot of fun.

never again

This started out bad...stopped at visitor center and received certificates for free boarding, free buffet and $10 player cash. When arrived to get our boarding tickets we were advised that these certificates were no longer honored; but, after complaining that these should not be given to visitors....we paid $20.00 each with a $5 free play. Once on the ship, when we turned in our free play certificates, once again were told they did not honor. Again, we argued that the lady in the office had given these to us. I wanted the paperwork back but the employee grabbed them; and, I said I wanted them to take back to the woman in the office. The employee said "I did not say I wont honor them, I said we dont honor them". I challenge anyone who finds this statement reasonable. ... tho we did get the $5 free play....while she made fun of me to my children. Then we were eager to enjoy the buffet and relax while waiting to go out to sea. Having missed the morning cruise, we had spent the day in Myrtle Beach but put off eating so we could enjoy the buffet. Immediately, we were told there was no Coke on the entire ship....only water, coffee and sprite. The food was not fit to throw overboard. ...cruelty to fish. The pork chops were so hard they could not be cut; and, if we did get a piece it was as if the pepper box had been spilled....sooooooooooo much pepper. Slots were extremely tight....I saw one woman receive $8800....but, heard more people complaining about the tightness of the slots. When you put $200 in a 5cent machine and do not hit one single bonus game....THAT is tight. I have hit casinos from California to Myrtle Beach and I say SAVE YOUR MONEY. My daughter was winning on a 5cent machine then it quit paying for the same lines it had been paying on. She called for help; but, she got tired of waiting and continued to play. The attendant came over, she explained the problem and he said to her, "Before you get anything into your head....these machines do not do that." The woman next to her said she was shocked at his rudeness.
The experience continued to the end....I put money in a machine and I received a tap on my shoulder....an employee advised that I could no longer gamble. I was surprised and asked why not....well, it turns out that they did not have an intercom system working. Think of the safety issue THAT could be. It also explained why the table games began playing approximately 5 min. before the slots came on.
We will not go back again. And, I heard nothing but complaints about the food, tightness of the gaming; and rudeness of the employees from the people. Several people advised that the BigMCasino paid better and food was super...claiming they had enjoyed the morning cruise on it.

Enjoyed the experience ~ was something different t

Looking for something different to do in MB, I went on the evening cruise. The food was nothing to rave about. The slots were fun and there were some decent winners last night. One woman won $4,000 and another $8,000. A fellow we were with won $1,000, so there were indeed winners on the ship. And that was in the area of slots where we were. There are several slots areas on this ship, so I don't know how well everyone else did.

A lot of people got sick from the constant pitching of the ship. I was one of them ~ nausea only, no vomiting. However, some people were really sick. It would be nice if they had something else to do when you run out of money. A lot of people slept on the couches and chairs; it would be nice to have an area serving appetizers or snacks.

1. So many of the slots were "Not In Service". It was difficult to find a machine. I played one in the Poker Room and decided to cash out a $26 ticket. The machine responded with a buzzer ringing and a notice flashing that said "Big Ticket. Attendant Notified." The attendant showed up only after I went downstairs to find someone. A person sitting next to me said it was the third time he knew that this had happened.

2. The AC did not work. I thought "stuff happens" and spent most of my time outside. An announcement advised that the unit was being worked on and would operational soon. As the passengers were leaving the ship, I found out the AC had been out of commission for three days. In fact, the AC repairmen boarded just before we left. There is no excuse for this.

3. And, the seas were rough. People were falling and later seen with ice bags on foreheads and knees.

4. The food was bland, but it was plentiful - no one wanted any.

5. My sailing partner went to get a cup of water. After waiting 10 minutes for someone to get it for him, he decided to get it himself. That was when one of the ship's personnel came running over, told him he couldn't get the water and got it for him.

6. I played roulette twice with two different men managing the bets and payouts. One guy shortchanged me once ($5) and another guy shortchanged someone ($125). One of them had to repeatedly ask the pit boss to check the payouts and he was wrong twice more.

We had a coupon and only paid the $10 for taxes, but this cruise should not have left port.

Would not go again, the food was horrible I mean, did they hire inmates to cook? Because the food tasted worse than hospital food and then they held you hostage for an hour going and coming. That would have been alright if they offer you something else to do or perhaps at least serve free appetizers and have a bar open so you can order drinks.

The boat rocked so much that most of the people on it were sea sick. The waitress was too slow coming around to offer you what are supposed to be free drinks, we had to keep looking for her. So we finally have to order drinks from the bar at $4.00 a piece and you could only order one at a time. All because the waitress was nowhere to be found.

Okay so let's talk about the shuttle bus, we were the first ones picked up and the last ones after 15 stops to get off. I don't think I would ever in my life do this again.

Had a wonderful time. Every one was soooo nice. Food was great. Slots weren't too good to me, but I did see some people hit big. Did get a little sea sick. Only one thing that did disappoint me was that I wasn't told before hand that you couldn't bring any cameras, video cameras, nail clippers. etc. Just like airport secruity which is good but we should have been told before hand so we could leave these items in our hotel. HAD A GREAT TIME WOULD DO IT AGAIN!

I've been on the SunCruz Casino boat in Daytona Beach, FL before, so I thought I'd try this one as well. There are two fees for this cruise -- $10 cruise fee and $10 port tax. The port tax is mandatory, but there are coupons around Myrtle Beach for free cruise that can get you out of the $10 cruise fee. You can also cruise for free if you've previously joined the player's club. I joined the Player's Club in Daytona, and was told over the phone that I would not have to pay the cruise fee because of this. However, when I got to the ship, they could not find me in the system. It turns out the two systems are not linked, so I had to pay the fee. I did ask about getting a free buffet and the lady said that since I was a first time Myrtle Beach cruiser, I could get this -- so all was not lost. The buffet is nothing to write home over, and it's one trip through the line. I would compare it more to your grade school cafeteria type of meal.

It takes the boat about an hour to get to international waters. So, eating the buffet was a good way to kill some time. When the casino opened, I took a little time to examine things around the ship before playing. One thing I was impressed with was they had low limit table games -- multiple tables of $5 blackjack and other games. After taking things in, I headed upstairs to the poker room.

There were 3 tables of 11 players each. They were playing 2/5 no limit and 5/10 limit. These minimums were a little higher than what I was expecting. I had to join a waiting list, but was seated within about 10-15 minutes. I sat down at 2/5 no limit. The table was pretty loose and hyper aggressive. Average pre-flop raise was about $25. On my 3rd hand after sitting down at the table, I was ready to join the action. After the flop, one guy bet $175. Everybody folded until it got around to me. I had a decent hand, but needed to think about whether or not to call. The dealer (an older man) gave me literally about 30 seconds before telling me the action was to me, and I acknowledged. He gave me another 30 seconds of letting me know i needed to make a decision about every 10 seconds. Then, he started counting me down -- 10...9...8 all the way to 1 and said "hand's dead". I did not appreciate this at all. That is a lot of money to call, and he didn't give me time to think about it. There were no players trying to hurry things along. I did not enjoy my gaming experience about this ship at all. Maybe I'd recommend blackjack and not poker.

Something else I noticed after I left the poker table was a large number of people sitting outside who were out of money. It was only about 2 hours into a 5 hour cruise. So, maybe the slots are pretty tight?

SunCruz casino boat Myrtle beach review 11/03/07

SunCruz casino offers a shuttle service from area hotel if you call and make a reservation. I called and made a shuttle reservation a few days prior to my arrival in little river. I also called a few hours before the 7:00 boat departure to confirm my shuttle pick-up. Well the shuttle never showed up and I had to rush to the boat dock and barely made it on.

Once on the boat you might think about going to the buffet, besides it will take one hour before you can start gaming. However whatever you do don??€™t pay $10 for this food, Its simply not worth it. The buffet it not all-you-can eat and the selection in very limited and the pasta I had was not very good.

Slot machines are of course everywhere, but table games are limited with the exception of blackjack. There are only two roulette tables so I could not play roulette during the trip because it was always full.

The waitresses do a great job of getting free drinks for everyone who is gambling. When I was in Las Vegas I didn??€™t get anywhere near as many free drinks. Please tip the girls at least one dollar, they work hard.

Excellent Tip : Go downstairs to the first floor bar area about 11:30- 11:45pm (evening Cruz) and order a burger or sandwich to eat on the ride back.

Suncruz casino is no Caesar Palace, so don??€™t expect great food or a fancy boat with upscale atmosphere but it gets the job done.

Pros: Plenty of slots, lots of free drinks if you're gambling. Good midnight snack

Cons: Bad buffet, boat gets really hot and needs better ventilation to keep the non-smokers alive.
