Here’s what we found for the week of June 20, 2010...

Binion’s Gambling Hall: $50,000 Catch the Fever Giveaway starts July 1 and is open to all new and existing Club Binion’s members. For slots and video poker, players receive a groovy “Catch the Fever” t-shirt with just 50 total points earned.  At 500 total points earned, slots and video poker players receive a disco bag with some “awesome” prizes.  On table games, players earn stamps on their “Catch the Fever” card at the rate of one stamp for every 30 minutes of rated play. With two stamps on the card, players receive the t-shirt and 25 stamps earn the cool disco bag with the prize inside.  All in all, $50,000 in cash, prizes and merchandise will be given away throughout the promotion, ending on August 31. Eastside Cannery: Offering guests a special two nights with no cover charge for “Sammy Shore’s Barking Mad Comedy Jam” at Marilyn’s Lounge on June 25 and 26 at 8 p.m.  Dennis Blair and Dean Napolitano, two seasoned veterans, join the legendary comic on stage for two nights of madness and laughter. Seats are available FREE on a first come, first serve basis with doors opening at 7:00 p.m.

Gold Coast: Trophy Trout Tuesdays in June. Earn 10 base points with your Club Coast card then swipe your card at any kiosk to play. Catch a fish and receive up to $1,000. All winners paid in points.

Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino: $20,000 Splash into Summer Giveaway through June 30. Every Friday and Saturday at 3:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. a winner will be selected for a $200 cash prize.  Each Saturday at 9:20 p.m. one lucky winner will receive a luxury Spa for his or her home. On Wednesday, June 30 cash and progressive drawings will be held at 3:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. with each winner receiving $200 in cash. At 9:20 p.m., one winner will receive $2,000 in cash plus all unclaimed cash prizes.  Guests can earn an entry into the drawings with every 100 base points earned on their Club Nugget card, for every 30 minutes of tracked table play and for every 30 minutes played in the poker room. Guests can also earn three times entries every Sunday through Thursday throughout the month. Winner must be present to claim clash. If not present, the property will draw a second name. If second winner is not present, cash will be rolled into the progressive drawing on June 30.

Hard Rock: Rock the Slots: June 23– 25. Players receive $50 Rockstar Cash for every 6,000 slot points earned during promotional period. Limited to $10,000 in Rockstar Cash.

Jerry’s Nugget: Bring Your Own Buddy Program: Current MoreClub players just need to bring in a new person to join the player’s club and they will have the chance to play the BYOB game at any MoreClub Kiosk. New prizes added to the list include 10x points, $10 to $50 comp and $250 cash. Ongoing June Promotions

From June 1 – July 4 guests will receive 1 drawing entry for every 250 points earned by using their Players Card.  Three winners will be chosen at each property every Saturday, 7 pm at the Plaza and 9 pm at the Vegas Club.  Each winner will spin and can win up to $1,000 in Free Slot Play. Stratosphere: Hosting sizzling “Body and Soul” pool parties at Level 8 Pool. Partiers can dance to the world beat of Rhythmic Soul, a unique three-piece group featuring a DJ accompanied by live percussion and horn. Binion’s Gambling Hall: 4th Annual Binion’s Poker Classic. Tournament play began May 26 and features deeper stacks, more of the popular HORSE events, and an earlier Main Event.  All-in-all, Binion’s will seat players for 46 different games over 47 straight days ending July 11.  The ever-popular No Limit Hold’em is the most featured, with 31 events scheduled, including Ladies Only on June 9.  Due to player demand, there will be three HORSE events this year on June 4, June 18, and July 9.  The Main Event will take place earlier, slated for June 30, and has the highest buy-in of the Poker Classic at $1,000.  Some events are as little as $100 buy-ins, while most fall within $150-$200 range. Generally, the buy-ins at the Binion’s Poker Classic are about one-tenth of the World Series of Poker events.  Registered players in this year’s Poker Classic also will be extended a special room rate at the Four Queens Hotel & Casino.  To participate in any of the Binion’s Poker Classic events, players simply register the day of the event in which they would like to play.  For No Limit Hold’em events, registration opens three hours prior to the start time.  For all other games, registration opens two hours ahead of time.  Last year, approximately 10,000 people played in the Poker Classic.
