March Gambling Podcast - How To Get The Most For Your Money When Visiting A Casino . The American Casino Guide has a monthly podcast hosted by the book's author, Steve Bourie, who talks about topics of interest to travelers who like to visit casinos and during the course of each show he  interviews a special guest from the world of casino travel or gambling.

For the March podcast Steve interviews The Frugal Gambler author, Jean Scott, on "How To Get The Most For Your Money When Visiting A Casino." PT’s Gold Tavern(s): Introduces “Ladies First,” beginning Friday, March 6, at the PT’s Gold, located on St. Rose and Eastern. The first Friday of every month from 7-9 p.m., ladies may enjoy complimentary Bud Light and Absolut Mango cocktails, in addition to a live DJ and hourly giveaways that include gift certificates to Euphoria Salons and Day Spas.

Rampart Casino: FREE St. Patrick’s Day Hat and Shirt Mondays (March 2, 9, 16, and 23). Earn 150 points in the same day and receive one FREE St. Patrick’s Day hat or shirt. Earn 300 points and receive one FREE St. Patrick’s Day hat and shirt. Limit one St. Patrick’s Day hat/shirt per customer per day.

PT’s Pubs and Sierra Gold Taverns: Players will have an opportunity to win a 32-inch LCD TV everyday starting March 1, continuing through March 31. Every 10 points earned by a Golden Reward member will grant them one entry to win an LCD TV. In addition, the LCD TV includes free installation and delivery. Entries will be accumulated every 24-hours beginning at 10 p.m. each night. The daily winner will be posted at 10 p.m. at each of the 32 participating PT’s tavern locations and three Sierra Gold locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley. One LCD TV will be given away per day, with a grand total of 31 in March.

Texas Station: Mystery Cash or Gift. Wednesdays, March 4, 11, 18 & 25. Noon-8 p.m. in the Promo Area. Invited guests will be able to reach into the mystery box where they could win up to $5,000 in cash, or a mystery gift. All other guests may earn 100 points the day of to participate.

Sahara: Sahara Hotel & Casino is offering special deals for Nevada locals and military personnel to kick off the reopening of Speed – The Ride, for the 2009 spring/summer season.  Throughout the month of March, Nevada locals can enjoy Speed – The Ride, for 50% off.  In addition, throughout March, military personnel can enjoy the ride at 20% off.  Also, anyone who can finish the NASCAR Café’s brand new “The Bomb” Burrito will receive two FREE passes to Speed – The Ride, indefinitely.  Weighing in at 6 pounds and being two-feet in length, “The Bomb” is smothered with guacamole, sour cream and cheese.  A single coaster ride is $10 ($5 for locals; $8 for military throughout March; valid Monday through Thursday on single passes; one per person per day).  Hours of operation are 12 noon to 10 p.m. seven days a week.  There is minimum height requirement of 54 inches.

El Cortez: For the month of March, Club Cortez players winning a jackpot of $200+ on a slot machine, a $200+ jackpot on a video poker five-cent or lower denomination machine, a $300+ jackpot on a video poker ten-cent or high denomination machine, or a $200+ jackpot on live keno will receive a prize ticket redeemable for a FREE wallet containing $10-$1,000 in free play.  All jackpot winners receive an entry into the weekly Saturday night 40” LCD HDTV giveaway and $2,000 cash prize drawing. There is no limit to the number of tickets that a player can collect for this promotion.  Please see Club Cortez for additional information and to redeem tickets.

Jerry’s Nugget: Every day from now through Saturday, March 21, More Club players will have a chance to win a “Next Day Stimulus Cash Reward.”  Players that earn 2,000 More Club points in one day by playing slots, video poker or video keno are eligible to win by swiping their player’s card in the kiosk the next day after earning the required points. Players can then win anywhere from $2 to $80 and are eligible to do so following each day they earn the required points. Next Day Stimulus Cash does not subtract points from a player’s account and it must be redeemed the following day or becomes invalid.

Binion’s Gambling Hall: Beginning Friday, February 20, Club Binion’s members may participate in the Binion’s Bailout $20,000 Giveaway.  Players earn drawing tickets by playing slots, video poker or table games.  On April 25 at 6 p.m., a drawing will be held for a variety of prizes. The top award is intended to help with mortgage or rent payments. The first-place winner will receive $9,000, paid out by Binion’s in monthly installments of $1,500 for a six-month period.  All-in-all more than $20,000, ranging from straight cash prizes to gas cards, will be given away to 20 lucky winners. For slots and video poker, players receive one drawing ticket for each 100 points earned.  At the tables, players earn stamps on their Table Game Bailout Card by playing with a minimum bet of $10 in order to receive drawing tickets.  The drawing will be held at 6 p.m. on April 25 at the Club Binion’s booth.  Winners need not be present to win. Excalibur: There are currently two buffet deals that are offered at Excalibur: First special is guests can pay $25 per day for all-you-can-eat, as many times as you want at the buffet. The second special is 2-for-1 buffet special between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. (Both ongoing until further notice.)

El Cortez: “Stay Cool---Drive Smart” giveaway. The downtown property is nearing the completion of nearly $7 million in renovations on the El Cortez Cabana Suites, formerly known as its Ogden House, to create a boutique hotel that offers guests the spirit of 1950s South Beach with modern and stylish rooms.  To commemorate its completion in March, the El Cortez is giving away a brand new, custom-made 2008 Smart Car decked out in a fresh turquoise color similar to its building’s exterior. The Smart Car touts a one-of-a-kind hood emblem made out of Swarovski crystals and its rims are accented with the same crystals. Club Cortez players are eligible to earn tickets to win the car beginning Feb. 1 through March 25. The winning ticket will be drawn at 3 p.m. on March 28 in the property’s main lobby.  Additional tickets will be drawn for the following prizes:

South Point: Expert player, Bob Dancer gives video poker lessons every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. through March. All classes are held in the Showroom, at the northeast corner of the casino. Except where noted, there will be a beginner's class from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. and an intermediate class from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Classes are FREE and everyone at least 21 years old is welcome.

Tropicana: After a 49-year run, the Les Folies Bergere topless revue at the Tropicana is closing March 28. Tickets for the Folies Bergere begin as low as $35 plus tax and surcharge and are available at the Tropicana Box Office or by calling 702-739-2411.

El Cortez: Any individual who pays for two hotel room nights or more at the El Cortez during March receives a coupon for a FREE two-night stay in April 2009. Upon check-in guests also receive a coupon for a FREE bottle of Mondavi wine with the purchase of dinner for two at The Flame Steakhouse.
