“We’re now four times larger,” said the casino’s general manager Chris Province. “Our growth and success is not only good for us, but it’s good for the community, too.”
The expansion created an additional 80 jobs in the area, all of which were filled by Cherokee Nation citizens.
This is the Cherokee Nation’s third completed casino expansion this year, with finished projects at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Catoosa and Cherokee Casino Ramona. The Fort Gibson Casino’s old facility, which consisted of a set of connected trailers, will now be put into storage.
