This was Foxwoods' largest year-over-year drop since December 2008, when slot revenues were down 19 percent.
Both Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods have reported declines in slot revenue every month this year and this is the second time that both casinos have reported double-digit declines for the month.

Connecticut casinos saw a large decline in slot-machines revenues in July, with both Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun reporting double-digit drops when compared to July of last year.
Foxwoods brought in a total of $51 million from slots, 15.8 percent less than July of last year. Mohegan Sun did slightly better, with slot revenue down 10.4 percent from last year.
