The theater is modeled on an Eastern European glass factory and is expected to open by the end of the year. The venue will be used for concerts, conventions, boxing and more.
“Imagine a glass factory in Czechoslovakia, and then you drop into that a working theater set” said CEO John Unwin. “It will make a statement; it’s not just vanilla.”
The events center will be called The Chelsea and The Cosmopolitan’s existing venue, the Chelsea Ballroom, will be renamed. Construction will begin in March and officials at the Las Vegas casino have not given any details on the cost of the project.
