The expansion works began earlier this year when the poker room was moved from the first floor to the second floor. Video poker machines will be moved into the former poker room starting this week. The project presented to the Black Hawk County Gaming Association by Bari Richter, casino vice president and general manager, also includes a new configuration of floor that will make games much more easier to locate, as well as a revamped entrance layout, and approximately $2 million worth of new slot machines. The floor currently has 1,040 machines. Finally, Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo expansion will also bring new dinning and culinary options that will include more locally produced food and less “junk”.
“The whole point is to give people a welcoming space. There is going to be a lot of disruption, but that comes with this kind of project.” Richter said.
