The figure for 2010-2011 breaks down to an average of $26.045 million a month, or $856,276 a day. Paired with table game revenue, which accounts for roughly 10% of casino revenue, the daily average jumps to well over $900,000.
Berrien County stands to receive $113,152, with about half going to 911 dispatch services. New Buffalo Township will receive almost $560,000, with all but about $30,000 going to cover police protection in the township/casino area.
The state of Michigan also benefits from the casino’s slot revenues, receiving a 6% share. A report by the Michigan Gaming Control Board says the casino has generated more than $24 million for the state’s Economic Development Corporation since it opened in August of 2007.
