Works include a new nine-story hotel tower located adjacent to the current hotel tower. The tower will feature 250 new rooms, including suites and standard rooms. Construction is currently underway and is expected to be completed in summer 2012. Once the new hotel tower is ready, the Michigan casino resort will have a total of 415 hotel rooms.
“The number one request that we received from our guests since opening was to add more hotel rooms. By adding 250 rooms, we’ll be able to accommodate a larger number of guests, including those coming to the property for big name entertainment at our new event center.” said Matt Harkness, General Manager for Four Winds Casino & Resort.
The multi-use event center will be located next to the casino and will include a 1,600 seat entertainment space available for a variety of special events, conferences and banquets.
“The expansion validates the continued success we have had at Four Winds Casino Resort since it opened in August 2007. The hotel expansion and event center also fulfill the vision we had for the property dating back to its original conception.” commented Matt Wesaw, Chairman of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.
Four Winds Casino is owned by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and is located at 11111 Wilson Road in New Buffalo, Mich. The resort offers 135,000 square feet of gaming with approximately 3,000 slot machines, a wide selection of table games including poker, as well as four restaurants, entertainment bars and retail venues, and a 165-room hotel, making it the premier gaming destination resort in the Midwest.
