The new program was officially launched on June 1st. To be eligible for the free play program, players only need to join “Club 1906,” the Golden Gate’s free players club.

The new point system rewards slot players five times more free play than they received before the change. Golden Gate’s new program awards slot players with 1 point for every $1 played, and $1 free play for every 100 points collected. Video poker players will also get 2 ½X as much free play as before. The new system rewards video poker players with 1 point for every $4 played, and $1 free play for every 100 points. In addition, points earned by Club 1906 members before the launching date will be automatically multiplied five times.

“As Las Vegas’ most historic casino, we purchased technology that enabled “free play” only a few years ago.  So we decided that if we are going to offer free play, we want to give our guests the best free play benefits available in Las Vegas.” commented Golden Gate Casino’s owner Mark Brandenburg.

Located at One Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas, Golden Gate Hotel & Casino opened in 1906 as the Hotel Nevada and became a popular spot in the 50’s when a group of Italian-Americans from San Francisco Bay Area bought the property and started the Golden Gate Casino. In 2007, the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino went through a major renovation that included all new slot machines, improved hotel rooms equipped with flat screen TVs, pillow-top beds and other amenities, and the first geothermal-cooled frozen beverage bar in Las Vegas.  In addition, the casino has adopted a contemporary version of the flappers from the Roaring 20s, with high-energy table games featuring dancing dealers and bartenders.
