The ceremony marks the completion of the first phase of Landry’s $100 million renovation of the property. Landry’s purchased the Mississippi casino from Isle of Capri last year.
The casino’s restaurants, Morton’s The Steakhouse and Lillie’s Asian Cuisin, will also be making their debuts this weekend.
The casino will also have various forms of entertainment and activities over its grand opening weekend, including Willie Robertson of A&E’s “Duck Dynasty” and a a NASCAR-themed promotion from Bally Technologies as well as Kevin Harvick’s No. 29 car.
