Gulfstream Park Casino Closes For a Few Days Due to Aquarium Bursting
Casino employees ran to plug the leak with bar towels as soon as they saw the water coming out.
Both the first and second floor casino have been closed for a few days, but Gulfstream's shops, restaurants and simulcast area remained open.
The Gulfstream Park Casino and Racetrack in Hallandale Beach, Florida had to close two of its casinos after a leak sprang in one of the
property's 13,000-gallon aquariums.
A seam in the aquarium in the property's second floor casino broke around 12:15 am Sunday, leaving only about 3,000 gallons of water remaining in the 13,000-gallon tank. Luckily, this was enough water for the aquarium's fish to survive before they were moved to another tank.
