The Cherokee Nation, which owns the hotel, is the fourth largest employer in the area.

Even with part of its gaming floor out of commission during construction, the Hard Rock just had its two highest-grossing months in a row. The gaming area will be open again in August and there will also be a new two-story sports-themed bar.
