The celebration and reopening ceremony will kick off at 1:30 p.m. atop the levee overlooking the main porte-cochere at Harrah’s Casino Tunica. The casino will officially open to the public right after the ceremony, when all first responders and civil and military service personnel along with one guest gather at the Paula Deen Buffet on the second floor of Harrah’s for a special luncheon. All civil and military service and first responders personnel with service IDs are welcomed to enjoy a free meal in the Paula Deen buffet during the Memorial Day Weekend (From Friday, May 27 through Monday, May 30, 2011).
“After literally washing the mud and debris from our parking lots we are going to wash Harrah’s Tunica in the red, white, and blue of the American flag. We want to show our appreciation to those in our communities that serve and protect on a daily basis and especially during crisis situations like the flood that we have all experienced here in the Mid-South. We are very excited to be reopening and hope that all first responders and civil and military service personnel in the area will come celebrate with us to kick-off this Memorial Day weekend,” said R. Scott Barber, regional president, Caesars Mid-South.
