Hollywood Casino Columbus On Track For October 8 Opening

Penn National Gaming, which also built the Hollywood Casino Toledo, will be holding a test run for the commission on October 3. It will be an invitation-only event and proceeds from the event will be given to charity.
When open, Hollywood Columbus will offer 160,000 square feet of gaming with over 3,000 slot machines and over 70 table games, including a poker room.
There will eventually be four Ohio casinos, with Rock Ohio Caesars opening a Horseshoe in Cincinnati next spring. Caesars also opened the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland in May.

Ohio's third casino is on track to open on October 8 after the Ohio Casino Control Commission approved gaming licenses for 178 employees this week.
The Hollywood Casino Columbus will eventually employ about 2,000 people, most of which will need state gaming licenses. The casino commission will be voting on the casino's gaming license September 12.
