“This property has always been known as a hub of social activity, where anyone can come relax and have a good time,” said Caesars Entertainment Regional President Rick Mazer in a statement. “As we update our offerings we want to further enhance that feeling of fun and connectivity. We think the name, The Quad, really embodies those sentiments.”
Renovations to the property will take place in phases through the next year, during which time the Imerial Palace’s Asian-South Pacific theme will be replaced with a more contemporary look.
The Linq project will include a a nongaming retail, dining and entertainment area, and a 550 foot-tall observation wheel. It will also connect several Las Vegas casinos including the former Imperial Palace, The Flamingo Las Vegas, and Harrah’s Las Vegas.
