The crowd only got larger throughout the day, with a waiting line stretched outside the main entrance for about 100 yards three hours after the opening. Visitors had to wait about 30 minutes to get inside.

Scott Cooper, General Manager of the Kansas Star said that about 7,000 people had visited the casino by 4 pm.

Cooper has opened casinos all over the country and said he was surprised by the large number of people who visited the newest Kansas casino within its first hours of operation.
