The state saw moderate increases in revenue in January (18.4%) and February (5.7%), and March’s numbers are not considered to be particularly concerning.

“While the headline number is clearly weak, March results were impacted by ConExpo cycling out of the market, timing of slot collections, and low baccarat and tables hold,” said gaming analyst Bill Lerner.

In other parts of the state, there were also declines. Laughlin dropped 2.3 percent and the Boulder Strip went down 16.9 percent, Clark County’s casinos were the only ones who saw a gain, but it was only 0.3%.
