The state will now have to put together the five-member gambling commission created by the new law. The commission will be in charge of picking the winning casino bidders and overseeing the industry. The commissioners will be appointed by Patrick, Attorney General Martha Coakley and state Treasurer Steven Grossman.

House Speaker Robert DeLeo said the slot parlor and the casinos that will offer table games such as blackjack, craps and roulette, could bring in an additional $400 million in state revenue annually.
