Emergency service workers will need to show a badge, identification card, or certification card on Sunday, September 11th, between 10 a.m.to 9 p.m. at Grand Casino Mille Lacs and between 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Grand Casino Hinckley to receive the free buffet.

“This is our way of honoring the incredible commitment and aid that these men and women provide each and every day to keep our communities safe,” said Mel Towle, interim senior vice president of gaming operations.

Grand Casino Mille Lacs and Grand Casino Hinckley are also donating a total of $10,000 to two organizations – Minnesota Fallen Firefighters Memorial Association and Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association. This donation will go toward honor guard uniforms and accessories.

“This donation helps us thank those who put their own safety aside in order to serve, save and protect others. It also honors the memory of people who lost their lives on 9/11, a date which will continue to be etched in our minds.” said Ronda Weizenegger, general manager of Grand Casino Mille Lacs.
