New England Patriots’ owner and Casino Mogul Steve Wynn Team Up For New Casino
“I see this as a great job creator which brings tremendous benefits to the schools, the social services of the community. Those are the facts, so we just have to get the message out. If it’s not well received, or not believed or not felt it’s good, then we’ll move on,” said Kraft.
Sources said that a $1 billion casino resort would be constructed on 200 acres across from the stadium and Patriot Place Mall.
Wynn said his vision involved more than simply building a casino.
“The first thing we have to do is tell the truth about what we intend to build which is something that’s scaled and appropriate for Foxborough and doesn’t exist anywhere else, let alone in Connecticut or Massachusetts or New York, ” said Wynn.
Thanks to a law signed by Governor Deval Patrick last month, Massachusetts is now authorized to have three resort-style casinos and one slot parlor built in the state.
New England Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft and Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Wynn, who operates the Wynn and Encore casino resorts, said on Monday that building a casino near Gillette Stadium would be beneficial to the entire community, particularly for job creation and schools.
