New Jersey Governor Chris Christie Conditionally Vetoes Internet Gambling Bill

“With these goals in mind, I have concluded that now is the time for our State to move forward, again leading the way for the nation, by becoming one of the first States to permit Internet gaming,” said Christie.

According to many state legislators, because online gambling is such an important issue, they will likely accept the Governor’s conditions.

If the governor does in fact sign the revised bill, New Jersey would become the third state after Nevada and Delaware to offer online wagering.
