Oxford Casino in Maine Earns $10 Million in First Two Months of Operation

According to the Maine Gambling Control Board, Oxford Casino brought in $9.8 million in revenue in June and July combined and paid almost $4.1 million in taxes.
Most impressive of Oxford's numbers was their revenue from table games. While the casino had originally projected making about $1,300 in revenue per table per day, the casino won an average of $2,471 per table game per day.
Currently, Oxford offers 529 slots and 12 table games, including blackjack, craps and roulette. Officials plan to add an additional 10 table games and hundreds more slot machines in October.

Oxford Casino, the newest casino in Maine, brought in almost $10 million in revenue during its first two months of operation. Other Maine casinos, however, have seen a drop in revenue since the opening of the new casino.
Hollywood Casino in Bangor brought in $5.5 million in revenue in July, down from $5.9 million in July of last year. Hollywood Casino is located about 120 miles from Oxford.
