The high numbers were due to large increases in revenue at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem and the Sugarhouse Casino in Philadelphia as well as the addition of the new Valley Forge Casino, which opened in 2012.

Parx Casino had the highest slot revenue in the state for the year bringing in $384.5 million followed by Sands with $291.5, and Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh with $282 million. Revenue at the Sands Casino was up $21 million, a 7.6 percent increase from 2011.

This is the sixth year in a row that Pennsylvania casinos saw an increase in revenue.
