Presque Isle Downs & Casino Revnues Fall Due To Competition From New Horseshoe Casino Cleveland

The Horseshoe Casino Cleveland had gross revenue of $7.7 million on its 94 table games.
According to numbers released by the state's Gaming Control Board, six out of 11 Pennsylvania casinos saw decreases in revenue in July when compared to last year. One Pennsylvania casino, Valley Forge Casino Resort, opened this year and has no figures from last year to compare to.

Table game revenue at Presque Isle Downs & Casino fell 21.6% in July, with the casino's 53 table games bringing in only $1.55 million compared to last year's $1.975 million.
Presque Isle officials say the drop is likely due to competition from the new Horseshoe Casino Cleveland, which opened May 14. July 2011 also had an extra weekend.
