After payouts to winners, Resorts brought in $59.7 million in revenue in December, a number that was second only to revenue earned in July 2012.
“Resorts World Casino is breaking records, on a regular basis. With more visitors than ever coming through our doors, it’s clear that New Yorkers and tourists alike know that Resorts World Casino New York City is a world-class gaming experience right here in Queens – just minutes not hours away,” said Resorts World president Michael Speller. “With a fantastic first year in the books, we look forward to doing even more to improve the gaming and entertainment experience in 2013.”
The New York casino opened in October 2011 and is largest casino in the state, with over 5,000 video-lottery terminals. The casino is one of nine in New York and Governor Andrew Cuomo plans to move forward with plans to build three casinos upstate.
