In January and February, over $2.4 billion was played at the New York casino, resulting in gaming revenues of $57.1 million in February and $59.1 in January. This is an 11.2 percent increase over last year’s numbers. Resorts World saw a 6.2 percent increase in revenue in February when compared to last year.
“Resorts World Casino New York City’s model has continued to maximize gaming revenue for New York state in a manner that has not been replicated by any other facility in the nation in our nearly year and a half of operation,” Resorts World president Michael Speller said. “2013 is shaping up to be another record setting year, and we are proud to contribute this astonishing amount of revenue towards the education of New York’s students. As we’ve said before, this is a partnership that works.”
Resorts World had generated $601 million in taxes for the state since opening.
