The media was given a sneak peek at the second floor on Monday, but the casino is still doing some finishing touches and plans to open the floor on Friday.

Officials from Resorts World New York, operator of the racino at the Aqueduct racetrack, are marketing it as a “conservative” alternative to the loud bells and bright lights of the first floor that opened earlier this year.

“The main difference is the finishes and it’s more comfortable,” said President of Resorts World Michael Speller.

Seats at the terminals on the second floor, which offer the same games as those on the first floor, will be reserved for gamblers who meet certain benchmarks in number of visits and money wagered, said officials.
