The ban was lifted on Memorial Day weekend in the hopes that more gamblers would be willing to play at Revel, which recently emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

 
The casino, which many people had high hopes for, was regularly bringing in less revenue than Atlantic City’s 11 other casinos.
 
According to a casino spokes person, smoking is now allowed on 23 percent of the casino floor and is not allowed anywhere else on the property.
