Revenue at Mississippi River Casinos Down 11 Percent From July of Last Year
While revenue was down when compared to July of last year, July revenues were up two percent from June. This is the third consecutive month that revenues at these Mississippi casinos were up from the month before.
Overall, the river-area casinos have brought in over $709.5 million so far in 2012, compared to $668.3 million for the same period in 2011, an increase of over six percent.
Gross gaming revenue at the Mississippi River casinos, which includes the nine Tunica casinos, was down
nearly 11 percent in July when compared to July of last year.
According to figures released by the Mississippi Gaming Commission, the River casinos brought in revenue of just over $99 million in July, down from last year's $111.1 million.
