According to casino officials, the southern California casino, which is located just 50 miles northeast of San Diego, will continue normal operations while they work to restructure its debt.

“This proactive step enables us to protect the jobs of our employees, which are vital not only to them and their families but the local economy as well,” said David Chelette, the casino’s general manager.

Judge Lorna Alksne has ordered a debtor’s exam and the tribe will meet with the county this week to begin that process.
