Seminoles Want to Build 1,000-room Hotel at Their Coconut Creek Casino
The hotel at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek would be about twice the size of the hotel at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and
Casino in Hollywood about 25 miles southeast of Coconut Creek and create 1,090 permanent jobs. The tribe also plans to add shops, restaurants and an entertainment complex.
It is unknown if the complex will be built, but the plan has undergone its first federal environmental review and the tribe feels very strongly about the positive impact the project would have on the local economy.
The tribe is in no particular rush to complete the project and has not set a timetable as they are waiting to hear whether or not the state government will renew its compact for blackjack and other table games, which will expire in 2015.
The Seminole Tribe of Florida is looking to build a new, 1,000-room hotel at their Coconut Creek Casino.
