All of the area’s casinos saw declines in revenue with the exception of River City, where revenues were flat when compared to last year at $15.9 million.

The biggest drop in revenue occurred at the Casino Queen in East St. Louis, where numbers were down 10.7 percent to $9.6 million. This is the casino’s first full month of operation since being sold to its workers through an employee stock ownership plan for $170 million.

River City will be opening a new events center in June and a hotel in September.
