While the new hours will allow Maryland casinos to stay open 24 hours a day, The Casino at Ocean Downs and Hollywood Casino Perryville will be extending their weekday hours and staying open 24 hours on the weekends. Maryland Live in Anne Arundel County, however, will begin 24/7 operations on December 27.
“When we open on the 27th, we hope not to close again,” said Maryland Live! President Rob Norton.
The state gaming commission also approved a set of preliminary regulations for table games and rule guidelines for blackjack and craps, but rules must still be approved for 15 other games. Maryland casinos will likely have table games up and running in Spring 2013.
