Aimed at reminding people of the variety of experiences available in Tunica, the summer campaign will hopefully boost visitor numbers during the crucial travel months ahead. The campaign takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the areas affected by the Mississipi River flooding, with slogans such as, “The flood is over, the party’s started” and “Even a 100 year flood can’t stop the 24/7 fun.”
“It’s great to be able to show people how resilient Tunica truly is. The businesses and their employees have been loyal to our community and patient during this trying time. We only hope the resilience that we have exhibited is inspiring to those in other areas that have been affected by the flood as well as those in our own county who are doing their best to rebuild.” said Webster Franklin, President & CEO of the Tunica Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Franklin noted that while damage inflicted to some areas was significant, he’d like to assure visitors that Tunica has rebounded and will continue to provide guests with one-of-a-kind experiences.
“It will take more than a 100-year flood to take away the heart and soul of Tunica, and we’re ready for visitors to come back and see it for themselves.” added Franklin.
