“There is no doubt the commercial casino industry is a significant and vital part of our nation’s economy,” said AGA President and CEO Frank J. Fahrenkopf Jr. “The industry generates and supports economic activity that stretches far beyond the communities that host casinos.”

In addition to aiding in the $125 billion contribution to the economy, the United States’ 566 casinos in 22 states also supported about 820,000 new jobs and taxes paid directly by the gaming industry in 2010 were about $16 billion.
